a sketch a day?

What a crappy weekend. One day before New Years eve and it's raining like crazy! Forcast indicates rain all weekend long! Crap! So, no sketching outside for the weekend, hahaha. Hung out with friends at one of their places tonight. Getting together almost every week or every other week, something that's been consistent since high school. There, snacks all around like strawberries and diet coke, mmm, mmmmm, what a combo, hahaha.

Saw these crazy mushrooms in my back yard. Boy do they look good to eat, mmmm, mmmm, chocolate blown and creamy tan makes my mouth water, hahahaha, not! That's a smart one, eat any mushroom you see. Went to the DeYoung museum with a couple of friends today. This is the first time that I've been there since the new building was built! They have a nice collection. The whole purpose of this trip was to look at the paintings, oh YEAH! The Sargent painting were great! Now if only I can paint like that, woo hoo!

I love my Jack Skeleton wobble bust, muaaaahahaha

Ever look at your hands? Ever wonder if you can ever live without them? We are a pretty amazing race of beings, don't you think. We can build the most wondrous things with them, and we can also destroy them. Their the tools of our minds.

The day after. It's always a little sad to have Christmas mark the ending of the year when one looks so forward to it all year long. And now the cycle begins a new! Can't wait till next Christmas, woohoo!

Merry Christmas! It's Christmas day and it's very quite. People home with their families and loved ones as well as friends. Too bad it has to end once again:( But then again, if it went on all the time, Christmas would not be too special. And Santas wearing that thick coat would not be too comfortable, hahaha. So it is good that we only have it once a year. Anyway, anyone remember this little guy with the initials RR?, heh, heh;)

It's Christmas eve, the sun's out and it's a beautiful day. Did this sketch early in the morning after only three hours of sleep. This is following a great evening hanging out with friends. Surprisingly, I'm actually not tired. Enjoy your day!

Went to the Monterey Bay aquarium with a couple of friends. What a wonderful place it is, mmmmm, mmmm. All the pretty fishes and colors were great. The jelly fish exhibit got bigger and better since the last time I went. Too bad it was raining, because the color of the water was a little duller than it was durring the summer. So another trip should be made when the weather gets better, heh, heh.

2:14am and I'm trying to paint a self portrait, but way too tired to finish, so doing a sketch instead. Getting an early start for today, so it's done for another day, hee, hee

Afternoon: Went to the Stanford museum with a friend and had the inspiration to do more sketches, woo, hoo!

Jean-Alexander Falguiere
Bronze bust of Diana

August Rodin
Plaster bust of Madame Fenaille - 1898

122005:
Here we are, the first of, hopefully many more sketches to come

Never thought about blogging until now. Seems like everybody and their grandma's doing it, let alone other friends of mine, hahaha.

So, what to do in a blog? Gave it a little thought and this is what I have come up with: I am going to attempt to do a small sketch/drawing everyday or every other day and see where this takes me. Until then, have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Be seeing you
